Realizing my world is different
The Southeastern region of the United States is its own little world, I've come to realize. Having lived in the south from birth, and in Florida for the majority of my life, I had never made a distinction between life here and anywhere else. After all, I don't know any other way of life.Only through conversations with a friend who lives in Michigan have I made a realization as to how vastly different life in the south is from other places.
It's like we're on another planet. From foods to weather, seasons to critters, it's very different than other places in the United States. I'm not saying that we're not normal. (Quite frankly, the rest of ya'll seem a little weird to me, but that's probably another blog concept entirely.)
